Hot Tub Variety

Filed under: Hot Tub Variety — Hot Tub Variety @ 12:15 am

This Monday is a very special Hot Tub.

So please put on your Sunday best and take off all your hats. All proceeds from the show will be donated to help the children of Darfur. And the show will be hosted by Pete Holmes is a world class entertainer who has been specifically designed to take the helm of Hot Tub and drive it dangerously close to rocks but then ultimately avoid them, making for a very exciting, yet ultimately safe, cruise. Enjoy! And Kurt will see you back at Hot Tub on August 26th.

July 30, 2007Our Site Got Hacked!
Our site got hacked while Kristen and I were away in Montreal. Then I wrote this really funny post comparing our site being down to September 11th. Then the post mysteriously disappeared! Like vanished. Poof it was gone by no act of my own. I think God is after bad-taste jokes and on the look out shock jocks! Be on the look out insult comics! God is pissed! and He will simply make your jokes go away, and no amount of control-z will get them back. I think God hacked our site. What aasshole. Delete that, God.

June 18th is gonna rock I’m seriously excited about the show on the 18th, people. Jon and Brett - you know they are amazing, you feel it when you close your mind. Now open that sucker back up to be sucker punched right in the gullet with a hot dose of the ZOG who will make you cry from laughter. And then we have VERY special guests from Washington State - The Cody Rivers Show. We met these guys last year at sketch fest and they are super weird and really awesome. You should really really really check them out on one of their only TWO New York appearances this year. They are really something to see. And then, we rock out with one of my favorite NYC bands, Tigers and Monkleys. The shows at Piano’s have been super fun and I love ending the show with a band and then partying it up at the bar. Come by for Hot Tub and stick around for Karaoke upstairs. It’s a good time. I’m going to Australia now - so I’ll be doing the show extremely jet lagged. Can’t wait!

Sketchfest NYC
Old Business: Thank you to everyone who helped make the last Hot Tub show super fun. I couldn’t stop smiling the whole night. Even in my sleep.
New Business: Kurt and I are about to unload close to an hour of sketch like comedy this Thursday night at 10pm at Sketchfest NYC.
136 East 13th Street

[Btwn. 3rd & 4th Aves.]
We sifted through over three years of sketches and picked a handful that we thought would tickle you the most, to an almost torturous level!
We did Sketchfest last year and easily had the time of our lives. Everyone involved in this festival is extremely cool and very much into sketch comedy. We’re pretty excited about it.

The Best Show We Will Ever Do
Is going to happen this Monday, June 4th. Kurt and I visited a psychic in the middle of a desert near a cactus. She had a beard and she called herself “the police,” but I saw right through it. She could see the future. And through her eyes behind those reflective sunglasses I could see myself and Kurt and the show on Monday and it was magnificent. I think you should be there. You have every right to be there. You have the right to remain silent. That’s what the psychic said. Which made no sense! But I guess that’s why she was blessed with the seventh sense and I wasn’t.

Hot Tub is on Monday the 21st

Folks! We’ve really turned it on this Monday. We are going to delight you with acts that you have never seen before. We are going to create memories. We are going to feel what it’s like to live for the first time. We will probably cry when it’s over. And feel cheated when we walk back to our homes. But Kurt’s phone number is: 646-591-0148 if you need to talk.

Hot Tub moves to Pianos and History is born
Hey everyone, please come to this show if you are lovers of good times. We are going to experiment with comedy and bring it to new unexplored heights. Kurt’s going to cry on stage and feel raw emotion while Kristen slowly undresses layer after layer of her questionable persona. It’s going to have a real party feel.

      Leggy” and “Really Gross”

Are you uninspired and feel unconfiedent? If so this next part of the post will help you to overcome that, I guarantee it! Just do what I say and believe that anything is possible, because it is the truth wether you believe it or you do not.

    Life is a pure flame,
and we live by an invisible sun within us.
    Sir Thomas Brown

As I grow to understand life less and less,
I learn to love it more and more.
    Jules Renard

Remember this, Wether you can or can’t that you are right! So, the lesson is believe you can do something and then go out and get it done. You can accomplish anything that you want to, you just have to put your mind to it. Believe in yourself, because you are really great! This is a huge problem these days people wait to do the thing that they want to do the most, because they believe they cannot accomplish it!

”Things will come to those who wait, but only things left behind by those who hustle” -Abraham Lincoln

This is a powerful qoute that I love and will have tatoo’d to myself one day! Good luck and remember you can do anything you want to, just try as hard as humanly possible!
